While walking in the Surrey Hills one day during April as the showers came and went, I looked into the distance as the rain was moving over the dark green hills covering them with a rainy mist. The foreground was flecked with sunlight and the rain covered grass was glistening. I am inspired by the different seasons - bluebells, poppies and autumn leaf shades and of course snow and mists. The wool fibres give a softness to the surrey hills series and the highlights of paint give that fleeting glimpse of light.
